Dr. Amanda Fairchild is a Professor and Associate Department Chair of Psychology in the McCausland College of Arts and Sciences. She oversees a large and complex department while fostering collaboration, consensus-building, and strategic growth. Dr. Fairchild brings extensive experience in program development, including founding the Quantitative Psychology Ph.D. Concentration and leading faculty development initiatives. She has also taught in the Honors College and mentored undergraduate students through multiple initiatives, reflecting a sustained commitment to their academic and personal development. Her work has been widely recognized with multiple teaching and mentoring awards, reflecting her dedication to helping students develop confidence, independence, and strong judgment.
