The University of South Carolina (USC) announces the search for the position of Faculty Director of the Capstone Scholars living-learning residential community of students.

About the Search

The Faculty Director for the Capstone Scholars leads an interdisciplinary community program with the active support of a director, program leads, graduate students, student residents, resident mentors, faculty and community associates. Students in this community are high-performing, recipients of a USC scholarship, and come from a broad range of majors. The community’s purpose is to enhance, both academically and experientially, the university experience of its residents.

When would the position begin?

The position will begin on May 16, 2026

Who does the position report to?

This position has a dual report to the Vice Provost and Dean of Undergraduate Studies and the Assistant Vice President of Student Housing, and serves at the pleasure of the Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost

When should I submit my application?

Review of applications will begin April 2, 2026, until the position is filled. Applications should include a cover letter, vita, a statement of interest, and names of three references.
